Get together for some holiday cheer at Milford Memorial Library on Saturday, December 4, from 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. for our Holiday Open House. There will be kids crafts for the making or taking, Festival of Trees for voting, and enticing treats provided by the Friends of the Milford Library. Make sure you stop by and visit with Santa to tell him your wish. We hope you can join us for some holiday fun.
Friday, December 3, is the last day to bring in a tree for the Festival of Trees. Voting will be held during MML’s Holiday Open House on Saturday, December 4, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Categories include Best Business, Best Organization, Best Personal/Family, Most Creative, and Librarian’s Choice. Winners will receive $20 in Milford Bucks provided by the Friends of the Milford Memorial Library.
One can. Two can. Who can? You can help fill the Dickinson County Upper Des Moines pantry by bringing in non-perishable food items to the Milford Memorial Library. We will be collecting items from now until Friday, December 17. Items to consider donating include: pancake mix, syrup, canned fruit, and Hamburger Helper.
On Wednesday, December 3, at 5:30 p.m., an open meeting of the Board of Trustees for the Milford Memorial Library will take place in the Milford Community Center. The agenda will be posted on MML’s website and front bulletin board at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting. Everyone is welcome to attend and offer their thoughts in order to make MML a better library.
Welcome winter with MML’s Young Adult Subscription Box: Let’s Build a Snowman. This box is full of ways to create frosty friends, who might even warm your heart. Fourth through twelfth graders will create a snowman measuring spoon, wood bead snowman ornament, and a 3D paper snowman. A reading list, watch list, play list, and a recipe are added little flakes of fun. The Subscription Box is free, but registration is required. Milford Memorial Library: Youth Corner
Join Miss Becca at Milford Memorial Library for the following December youth programs. There will be a make and take/to go holiday craft that is a part of Milford’s Holiday Fantasy weekend from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 4. Afterschool Activity will involve iron on beads at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 9. Lastly, there will be one Building Bookworms storytime on the theme of holidays (craft: jingle bell noisemaker) at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, December 13.
