On Wednesday, January 3, at 5:30 p.m., an open meeting of the Board of Trustees for the Milford Memorial Library will take place in the Milford Community Center. The agenda will be posted on MML’s website and front bulletin board at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting. Everyone is welcome to attend and offer their thoughts in order to make MML a better library.
Tuesday, January 9, through Friday, January 19, fourth through twelfth graders can take part in MML’s Young Adult Snow Challenge. For this YA Challenge you will be creating a giant paper bag snowflake and building a wood block snow. This is a free activity, but does require registration. Young Adults may register by calling MML at 712-338-4643 or by going to our website at www.milford.lib.ia.us.
On Tuesday, January 16, at 1:00 p.m., the Milford Memorial Library Book Club will be meeting for discussion of Homecoming by Kate Morton. Any interested individuals are welcome to attend. It is not necessary to attend all of the book meetings, and you can come and go as you please.
Wednesday, January 17, is Open Craft Night! This Adult Craft Night will be a kit only event. Participants will be able to sign-up for available crafts including a Painted Popsicle Sign, Wood Wick Flower Candle, Stained Glass Votive, Live Evergreen Centerpiece, Clay Jewelry, Book Clock, and Foam Snowman. Milford Memorial Library is excited for the new year, 2024. We always have great programming for the kiddos and families. Building Bookworms is a storytime with books, movement, and craft. Minds in Motion is a sensory playdate with a variety of thinking and touching items. Afterschool Adventures is a creative and interactive time with projects or games. Please take note of the following youth related programs in January.
