On Tuesday, December 12, MML’s Young Adult Last Minute Gift Challenge Box will be available for pick up. Fourth through twelfth graders will be creating magnetic picture frame and a snow jar. Friday, December 22, is the last day to register.
Milford Memorial Library will be closed on Wednesday, December 6, for Dickinson County Library Staff Development. We will be looking forward to seeing you when we reopen on Thursday, December 7, at 9:30 a.m.
This month MML’s Adult Craft Series will have a special guest! Join Ann Williamsen for card making on Wednesday, December 13, at 5:00 p.m., and learn the art of making handcrafted paper cards. Participants will get the chance to work with the different tools Ann has and create their own card. Cost for this program is $5 and registration is required. Friday, December 15, is the last day for the Holiday Fantasy Food Drive. With your help, we can fill the shopping cart for Dickinson County Upper Des Moines with non-perishable food items. Share what you can.
On Tuesday, December 19, at 1:00 p.m., MML’s Book Club will be meeting for discussion of The Maid by Nita Prose. Any interested individuals are welcome to attend. It is not necessary to attend all of the book meetings, and you can come and go as you please.
Everyone is welcome to Community Connections on the third Thursday of each month at 10:30 a.m. Join us on Thursday, December 21 at 10:30 a.m., at the library. This month Dickinson county Nature Center will be discussing Animal Albinism. Community Connections is open to adults wanting to learn and socialize. Coffee and refreshments are provided by the Friends of the Milford Library. This is a free program and attendees are encouraged to socialize after presentations. Bring your questions!

Milford Memorial Library: Youth Corner
Ho! Ho! Ho! Looks like December and the snow is here! Milford Memorial Library is a great place to warm up while your kiddos explore the youth area. We have new book displays, holiday decorations, toys, STEAM kits, and so much more. We are open daily starting at 9:30 a.m. (except Sunday).
We have a special Building Bookworms (storytime)at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, December 18, with the talented Kindermusik program. Miss Allison always brings the excitement! Minds in Motion (open play) takes place only once this month at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, December 11.
Then last, but not least, our library is showing a matinee movie (plus popcorn) of The Bad Guys at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 14. Spread the word about the youth library programs.
