Milford Memorial Library now has Iowa and Federal 1040 tax forms and the Federal 1040 tax instruction booklets. Federal forms and booklets are available in English and Spanish. MML will be charging for coping and printing tax forms. Blank tax forms will cost $0.10 per page and filled out tax forms will cost $0.20 per page.
On Tuesday, March 19, at 1:00 p.m., the Milford Memorial Library Book Club will be meeting for discussion of Stars Over Clear Lake by Loretta Ellsworth. Any interested individuals are welcome to attend. It is not necessary to attend all of the book meetings, and you can come and go as you please.
On Wednesday, March 6, at 5:30 p.m., an open meeting of the Board of Trustees for the Milford Memorial Library will take place in the Milford Community Center. The agenda will be posted on MML’s website and front bulletin board at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting. Everyone is welcome to attend and offer their thoughts in order to make MML a better library.
Starting Tuesday, March 12, and lasting until Friday, March 22, fourth through twelfth graders will have a chance to make their own luck with MML’s Make Your Own Luck Challenge. Young Adults will be given a canvas, a four-leaf clover stencil, and instructions to make chalk paint to use. This is a free activity, but does require registration. Registration can be done by calling 712-338-4643 or online at www.milford.lib.ia.us.
On Monday, March 18, MML’s Egg Hunt will begin. Young adults and adults will be able to explore the library while trying to find twelve special items. MML’s front desk will have the sheet with the special items. Once you have located the special items, written them down, take the sheet back to the front desk to be entered into a prize drawing. The Egg Hunt prizes are sponsored by the Friends of the Milford Library.

Milford Memorial Library Youth News
Milford Memorial Library has a new round of public programming during March. There will be two Minds in Motion (sensory play) at 10:30 am on Mondays, March 11 and 25. Building Bookworms (storytime) will also be at 10:30 am on Mondays, March 4 and 18. We have one more program called Afterschool Adventures (group fun) at 3:30 pm on Thursday, March 7. The craft will be a Peeps house made out of different items.
Throughout March, we have two extra programs for the kiddos. The first one is Read Across America BINGO (March 1-29), and the second one is the Spring Coloring Contest (March 11-25). Please take note that the contest is a short turnaround. Everything will be sent to the classrooms, as well as they can be found on MML’s Youth webpage and at our library.
