Milford Memorial Library News
Milford Memorial Library will be closed on Monday, February 19, in observance of Presidents’ Day. We will reopen on Tuesday, February 20, at 9:30 a.m.
On Tuesday, February 20, at 1:00 p.m., the Milford Memorial Library Book Club will be meeting to discuss The Kitchen Counter Cooking School by Kathleen Flinn. Any interested individuals are welcome to attend.
No awkward questions, no forced conversations, no judgmental looks, and no need to call. Just have a blind date with a book! There is a bookmark located in each book. Return the completed bookmark to the library to be placed into a drawing. Drawing prizes are sponsored by the Friends of the Milford Library. This is a free program and is available for all age groups. MML’s Blind Date with a Book runs until Thursday, February 29.
This is the last week for MML’s Young Adult Cross Stitch Challenge. It will end on Friday, February 23. Fourth through twelfth graders will use yarn to cross stitch a simple design on a tennis racket. This is a free activity, but does require registration. Join MML for our Adult Craft Series as we make a Fabric Owl on Wednesday, February 21, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The cost for this craft is $5.00 and registration is required. You can register by contacting Milford Memorial Library or online by going to http://milfordlibrary.weebly.com/adult-program-registration.html.
Join us for Paint Night at the Library is on Tuesday, February 27, at 7:00 p.m., at the Arnolds Park Library. This month we will be joined by guest Kris Walker. All of the supplies will be provided by the libraries. There are only 30 spots available so pre-register at the Arnolds Park Public Library, Spirit Lake Public Library, or the Milford Memorial Library. The cost is $15 for registration. Tax season is here. Patrons are able to get their 2023 Tax forms at MML. Blank forms will cost $0.10 per page and filled out forms will cost $0.20 per page.
Milford Memorial Library Youth News
Milford Memorial Library has had some good turnouts at our different youth programs. It is neat to see the kids and adults interacting and having fun with one another. We would appreciate having more families and friends join us each month, so please spread the word.
Miss Becca will end the month with Building Bookworms at 10:30 am on Monday, February 26. The theme is Duck for President.
February is National Dental Health month. Miss Becca and her library friends have put together some teeth starter kits from Colgate. They include a mini toothbrush and toothpaste, as well as a healthy teeth worksheet. Stop by the library to grab a bag for your kiddo/s.
