An open meeting of the Board of Trustees for the Milford Memorial Library is at 5:30 p.m., on Wednesday, February 5, in the Milford Community Center. The agenda will be posted on MML’s website and front bulletin board at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting.
 
It is the final week for Blind Date with a Book! You still have time to find the one by having a blind date with a book. Books from an assortment of genres, departments, fiction and non-fiction will be wrapped in brown paper. Sure, it might turn out to be a dud, or it could be the diamond in the rough you wouldn't have given a chance otherwise. Submit the bookmark included with your book for a chance to win a prize! Last day is Saturday, February 29, 2020, at 1:30 p.m.

March is going to be so special at Milford Memorial Library.  Please don’t miss these awesome presenters and volunteers.  The first one will be Ms. Emily Tinsman who is the current Miss Iowa 2019.  She will be doing a musical storytime at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, March 9.  Then at the end of the month, we will have Ms. Kenzie Liechti who is a local 200hr CYT/Reiki 1 Practitioner.  She will be doing an interactive yoga session at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, March 30.

On Tuesday, February 25, at 7:00 p.m., join others for a fun night of painting, fellowship, and snacks provided by the three local libraries. Any skill level is invited to recreate a painting following step-by-step instructions. All of the supplies will be provided by the libraries.  There are only 30 spots available so pre-register at the Arnolds Park Public Library, Spirit Lake Public Library, or the Milford Memorial Library. The cost is $10.00 for early registration and $15 for registration on the day of the event.

February is halfway through, but there are still two more opportunities for your family at Milford Memorial Library.  Public Playdate will be at 5:30 P.M. on Wednesday, February 19.  We even have a few new things for the kiddos.  Also, please don’t forget Building Bookworms will be at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, February 24.  The theme will be pets with the craft being a cute paper bag dog.

On Monday, February 17, Milford Memorial Library will be closed in observance of Presidents’ Day. We will be back to our normal operating hours on Tuesday, February 18, at 9:30 a.m.

Join MML’s Director, Gillian, in sewing an essentials bag on Wednesday, February 19, at 5:30 p.m. This craft will cost $5.00 per person. Registration is required and all materials will be provided by the library.

Any interested individuals are welcome to join MML's Book Club on Tuesday, February 18, at 1:00 p.m. The featured book in February is Ask Again, Yes by Mary Beth Keane. Copies of this book can be found in our library along with other local area book clubs. It is not necessary to attend all of the book club meetings, and you are welcome to come and go as you please.

Don’t miss out on some awesome February Youth Programming at Milford Memorial Library!  There is Afterschool Activity: Valentine BINGO at 3:30 P.M. this Thursday, February 13, Public Playdate at 5:30 P.M. on Wednesday, February 19, and Building Bookworms: Paw-some Pets at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, February 24.  Everything is provided by the library with no registration, so what is your family waiting for…?

On Tuesday, February 11, at 3:30 p.m., 4th through 8th graders are invited to take part in a bubblegum blowing contest and making edible bubblegum slime. This is a free program and no registration is required. All materials will be provided by the library.

Afterschool Activity: Valentine BINGO will be at 3:30 P.M. on Thursday, February 13, at Milford Memorial Library.  This program will be a fun time for Preschool through 4th Grade kiddos, and the library will provide a small snack and prizes for everyone.
Public Playdate will be at 5:30 P.M. on Wednesday, February 19.  This is a great opportunity for the kids to play with a variety of interactive items while the adults make an essential bag at Adult Craft Series.
