The Milford Memorial Library would like to thank the Friends of the Milford Memorial Library and the gracious donors for their support throughout the year. This funding allows the library to provide essential services, programming and help to patrons that would not otherwise be available. Thank you also to all the Milford Memorial Library volunteers for donating your time to the library. So many of the programs and services at the library require help from volunteers. We appreciate everyone who has supported the library this year in one way or another.

December 2 and 3 the community voted on The Festival of Trees and the results are in. The winners of the Best Personal/Family Tree was The Grinch. Best Organization Tree went to Milford Girl Scouts. Little Sprouts Daycare won both Best Business Tree and Most Creative. The winner of Librarian’s Choice was Milford Communications. Each of our winners received $20 in Milford Bucks and a $20 gift certificate to Perkins. The Best Business Tree winner got to take home the handmade traveling trophy in addition to other prizes. Thank you to all who participated in and supported Festival of Trees this year. We look forward to seeing you all again next year.

The library is hosting the food drive this year for Holiday Fantasy. This ongoing food drive for Dickinson County Upper Des Moines will end on Friday, December 16. Nonperishable food items can be brought to the Milford Memorial Library.

All students in 5th – 12th grade are invited to come to MML for the new Libratory STEM program on Tuesday, December 20, from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. We will be making felt snowmen. MML will have a Libratory STEM program the third Wednesday of each month. Contact the library at 712-338-4643 or [email protected] for more information. All materials are provided by the library at no cost to the students.

Come to the Milford Memorial Library for a drop-in craft between 3:30 p.m. and 5 p.m.! On Thursday, December 15, we are making Mod Podge Christmas Ornaments. This is a program for all ages. All supplies are provided but there will be a limited amount. Get to MML early to make sure you get to participate in this program.

Join the Milford Library's Open Book Discussion Group the third Tuesday of each month at 1:00pm. This group is open to all. It's not necessary to attend all meetings. Come and go as you please!
