December 2 and 3 the community voted on The Festival of Trees and the results are in. The winners of the Best Personal/Family Tree was The Grinch. Best Organization Tree went to Milford Girl Scouts. Little Sprouts Daycare won both Best Business Tree and Most Creative. The winner of Librarian’s Choice was Milford Communications. Each of our winners received $20 in Milford Bucks and a $20 gift certificate to Perkins. The Best Business Tree winner got to take home the handmade traveling trophy in addition to other prizes. Thank you to all who participated in and supported Festival of Trees this year. We look forward to seeing you all again next year.
The library is hosting the food drive this year for Holiday Fantasy. This ongoing food drive for Dickinson County Upper Des Moines will end on Friday, December 16. Nonperishable food items can be brought to the Milford Memorial Library.
All students in 5th – 12th grade are invited to come to MML for the new Libratory STEM program on Tuesday, December 20, from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. We will be making felt snowmen. All supplies are provided but there will be a limited amount. Get to MML early to make sure you get to participate in this program.
