Join us at the Milford Memorial Library for Past Times presented by Mary Drier from the Dickinson County Museum on Tuesday, July 12, at 7 p.m. Mary will be leading us through a discussion about Milford’s history.
Would you like a chance to shop the Friends of Milford Memorial Library’s Book Sale before it opens to the public? Please join other volunteers and the library staff for set up beginning at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, July 21, with a potluck to follow. Once everything is in place, let the shopping begin. The Friends group is also in need of volunteers to work the book sale on Friday or Saturday. Some extra help will be needed after the book sale on Saturday to clean up. Milford Memorial Library is accepting books the Friends of Milford Library Foundation’s Book Sale. You may drop off books during normal business hours. As a reminder, we do not accept Reader’s Digest Condensed novels, magazines, textbooks, and encyclopedias. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. On Wednesday, July 6, an open meeting of the Board of Trustees for the Milford Memorial Library will take place in the Milford Community Center. The agenda will be posted on MML’s website and front bulletin board at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting. Everyone is welcome to attend and offer their thoughts in order to make MML a better library.
MML’s book club, the Open Book Discussion Group, invites any interested individuals to come and discuss the featured book, Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens, on Tuesday, July 19, at 1:00 p.m. Copies can be found at the library. It is not necessary to attend all of the meetings, and you are welcome to come and go as you please.
Milford Memorial Library: Youth Corner
Milford Memorial Library’s 2022 Youth Summer Reading Program has drawn in crowds of kiddos and their families. We offer so many types of programs, and the best part is, they are free to everyone. Check out Miss Becca’s 2022 Youth Summer Reading webpage to get all of the details. We will run library programs and Reading-Activity Logs (for prizes) through July. In July, there will be Summer Shenanigans at 1:00 p.m. on July 6 and 13, as well Building Bookworms at 10:30 a.m. on July 11, with both of them being at MML. The End Celebration will be at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 14, at the Dickinson County Nature Center.
