The Milford Memorial Library would like to thank the Friends of the Milford Memorial Library and the gracious donors for their support throughout the year. This funding allows the library to provide essential services, programming and help to patrons that would not otherwise be available. Thank you also to all the Milford Memorial Library volunteers for donating your time to the library. So many of the programs and services at the library require help from volunteers. We appreciate everyone who has supported the library this year in one way or another.

There will be no story time this Friday.

The Milford Memorial Library will close at 12 p.m. on Thursday, December 31st, for New Year’s Eve, and will be closed all day Friday, January 1st, for New Year’s Day. The library will be open on Saturday, January 2, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Calling all Hungry Hippo patrons on Tuesday, December 29, at 3 p.m., to play Human Hungry Hippos. The library will have enough supplies to have four games of Human Hungry Hippos going at the same time. This program is completely free and open to the public!

December 4 and 5 the community voted on The Festival of Trees and the results are in. The winners of the Best Personal/Family Tree and Most Creative were Caden and Brianna Swenson. Best Organization Tree went to Milford Pioneers 4-H Club. Little Sprouts Daycare won both Best Business Tree and Librarian’s Choice. Each of our winners received $20 in Milford Bucks and a $20 gift certificate to Perkins. The Best Business Tree winner got to take home our handmade traveling trophy in addition to other prizes. The Best Personal/Family Tree also took home a gift certificate from Pampered Pets for a grooming and nail clipping. Thank you to all who participated in and supported Festival of Trees this year. We look forward to seeing you all again next year.

Wendy Watt is retiring after 17 years at the Milford Memorial Library. The Friends of the Milford Memorial Library are hosting a retirement party for Wendy on December 15 from 3 p.m.—5 p.m. at the library. Cupcakes and coffee will be served. Wendy has been at the library since 1998 and served as Assistant Director since 2001. Come to the library to help Wendy celebrate her retirement on December 15!
