On Tuesday, February 13, at 7 p.m., in the Milford Community Center, please join us in welcoming Laura Keyes, as she presents the program History of the Hershey Chocolate Company. Today the name Hershey is synonymous with quality milk chocolate. Milton S. Hershey worked hard and failed often before his chocolate company was finally successful. And when he did become a household name and had earned a vast fortune, Milton and his wife Catherine decided to give it all away. Because of their generosity, tens of thousands of orphans have been saved, protected, and educated. A program about chocolate wouldn't be complete without hot chocolate for attendees! This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Arnolds Park Library, Friends of the Milford Library and Friends of the Spirit Lake Public Library.
No awkward questions, no forced conversations, no judgmental looks, and no need to call. Just have a blind date with a book! There is a bookmark located in each book. Return the completed bookmark to the library to be placed into a drawing. Drawing prizes are sponsored by the Friends of the Milford Library. This is a free program and is available for all age groups. MML’s Blind Date with a Book runs until Thursday, February 29.
MML’s Young Adult Cross Stitch Challenge will be available Tuesday, February 13th – Friday, February 23rd.
