On Monday, November 22, participants can start bringing in trees for the Festival of Trees. Categories are the following: Best Business, Best Personal/Family, Best Organization, Most Creative, and Librarian’s Choice. Friday, November 19, is the last day to register for MML’s Young Adult Subscription Box: Memories. Activities included are completing a personal time capsule, writing a letter to their future selves, and a memory game. Along with Miss Paige’s favorite recipes, reading list, and playlist. Young Adult Subscription Boxes are free activities, but registration is required. Subscription Boxes may be picked up at the library. Join us on Tuesday, November 23, at 7:00 p.m., at the Arnolds Park Library, for a fun night of painting, fellowship, and snacks provided by the three local libraries. Any skill level is invited to recreate a painting following step-by-step instruction. All of the supplies will be provided by the libraries. There are only 30 spots available so pre-register at the Arnolds Park Public Library, Spirit Lake Public Library, or the Milford Memorial Library. The cost is $10.00 for early registration and $15 for registration on the day of the event. Registrants will need to pay prior to the event to secure their spot. Milford Memorial Library will be closed on Thursday, November 25, and Friday, November 26, in observance of Thanksgiving. We will be open on Saturday, November 27, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Traveling for the holidays? Take MML’s internet with you. MML has four hotspot devices available for patrons to checkout for seven days with only one renewal allowed. Overdue Hotspots will be charged $1.00 per day. Patrons will be held responsible for all applicable replacement costs and processing fees up to $150.00 for the hotspot and/or accessories lost, stolen, or damaged while in their possession. Only one device will be checked out per household and must be brought back into the library for check in. The last Building Bookworms storytime for November will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, November 29. The theme will be owls with the craft being a simple paper plate owl. Everything will be in person, provided by the library, and take place at Milford Memorial Library. Miss Becca hopes to see you there!
