Any interested individuals are welcome to join MML's Book Club on Tuesday, September 17, at 1:00 p.m. The featured book in August is The Feather Thief by Kirk Wallace Johnson. Copies of this book can be found in our library along with other local area book clubs. It is not necessary to attend all of the book club meetings, and you are welcome to come and go as you please.
Calling all Busy Brain Gamers (5th- 8th Grade)! Video Games Day is happening on Friday, September 20, at 3:30 p.m., in the library. Please join the fun by playing Wii and Xbox games provided by MML and Exile Gaming.
Join MML and Rich Tyler on Thursday, September 26, at 2:00 p.m., for the program "If Barns Could Talk." What’s happening to our old barns? Will metal replace wood? Why should we care about old barns today? These and other questions will be discussed as the history and current importance of barns are explored. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Milford Memorial Library and funded by a grant from Humanities Iowa.

Join Miss Becca for September’s Afterschool Activity: Tower Building. This program will be at 3:30 P.M. on Thursday, September 12, at Milford Memorial Library. Students in Preschool through 4th Grade will create and test different towers made out of a variety of materials (marshmallows, spaghetti, straws, paper clips).
The following week there will be Public Playdate at 5:30 P.M. on Wednesday, September 18, and 4-H Clover Kids: Hour at the Fair at 3:30 P.M. on Thursday, September 19. Please keep in mind that youth need to register and pay online for Clover Kids.
