MML’s book club, the Open Book Discussion Group, invites any interested individuals to come and discus the featured book, To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, on Tuesday, October 26, at 1:00 p.m. Copies can be found at the library. It is not necessary to attend all of the meetings, and you are welcome to come and go as you please.
Join us on Tuesday, October 26, at 7:00 p.m., at the Arnolds Park Library, for a fun night of painting, fellowship, and snacks provided by the three local libraries. Any skill level is invited to recreate a painting following step-by-step instruction. All of the supplies will be provided by the libraries. There are only 30 spots available so pre-register at the Arnolds Park Public Library, Spirit Lake Public Library, or the Milford Memorial Library. The cost is $10.00 for early registration and $15 for registration on the day of the event. Registrants will need to pay prior to the event to secure their spot. Friday, October 22, is the last day to register for MML’s Young Adult (4th-12th grades) Subscription Box: Trick-or-Treat?. This Young Adult Subscription Box is free. Young Adults may register by calling (712) 338-4643 or emailing [email protected]. Subscription Boxes can be picked up at the library.
Stop by the Library during Milford Business Trick or Treat will be held on Friday, October 29, 2:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m. We are looking forward to seeing all the monsters, goblins, and princesses.
Milford Memorial Library: Youth Corner
Milford Memorial Library and other Milford businesses will be celebrating Halloween with some trick or treating from 2:30-5:30 p.m. on Friday, October 29. We are excited to see everyone in their costumes!
November will be upon us soon, so plan to attend some fun youth programs at MML. There will be three Building Bookworms (storytimes). They will be at 10:30 a.m. on Mondays, November 1 (Pumpkins), November 15 (Turkeys), and November 29 (Owls). Miss Becca will also have Afterschool Activity (snow slime) at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 11.
