Milford Memorial Library will be closed Thursday, November 25, and Friday, November 26, to celebrate Thanksgiving. We hope everyone has a safe and happy Thanksgiving. We look forward to seeing everyone on Monday, November 30, for the start of Festival of Wreaths voting.
Festival of Wreaths voting will be Monday, November 30, - Friday, December 4. Awards this year are for best personal/family, best organization, best business, most creative, and librarian's choice. We look forward to seeing all the creative wreaths around the library. Voting can be done by picking up a ballot at the library drive-up window and then returning it in the drop box or participants can vote online. Join MML for our Holiday Fantasy Library Festival Stroll Wednesday, December 2, Thursday, December 3, and Friday, December 4, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. This event will include kids to go holiday crafts, and cookies to go provided by the Friends of the Milford Memorial Library, and voting on wreaths.
Be our guest to MML’s Young Adult (4th-12th graders) Subscription Box: A Disney December. This enchanting box includes a lantern from galaxies far far away, an ornament that will have Sandy Claws asking “what’s this?”, and a place to display what’s worth melting for. While you work, you can whistle along with the playlist, enjoy a to watch list you will never outgrow, and try delicious recipes. If you don’t believe us, just ask the dishes. Anything can happen if you pre-register by calling 712-338-4643 or emailing milfordlibrary51351@gmail.com. Don’t be late for the very important pick up dates of Tuesday, December 8, through Wednesday, December 23. We will see ya real soon!

Reserves may be picked up Monday - Friday 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and Wednesday 10:00 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. You may reserve materials by using MML’s online catalog, calling (712) 338-4643, or emailing milfordlibrary51351@gmail.com. Our drive-up window is on the east of the library (closest to Highway 71) and right before our drop box.
If you have materials to print, please email milfordlibrary51351@gmail.com. You may pick up your printing during our drive-up hours. Normal printing prices apply ($0.25 for black and white per page and $0.50 for color per page).
Milford Memorial Library: Youth Corner
Milford Memorial Library would like to wish all of the families and kiddos a Happy Thanksgiving. Since we will be closed part of this week, Grab and Go Bags and Books: Mo Willems-Pigeon will be available until Monday, November 30. The craft is a cute handprint pigeon, and there are plenty of books to check out that feature this crazy pigeon. Feel free to call or email Miss Becca to reserve a bag or books (338-4643, beccas@milford.lib.ia.us).
Please write down the following dates for December’s Grab and Go Bags and Books: Santa (Dec. 7-18; toilet paper roll Santa searcher) and Cookies (Dec. 21-31; Cookie Monster cut out). There will be 35 bags for each theme, and they will be outside on Mondays (weather dependent) and the Drive-up Window the rest of the week.
