You are invited to Milford Memorial Library’s Holiday Open House on Saturday, December 2, from 9:30 a.m. to Noon. Join us for kid crafts (make and take or to go), Santa’s visit, Festival of Trees voting, and treats provided by the Friends of the Milford Library. We are looking forward to starting the holiday season with you!
Make MML merry and bright with decorating a tree for the Festival of Trees. You may bring in trees until Friday, December 1. Judging will be on Saturday, December 2, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Categories are the following: Best Business, Best Personal/Family, Best Organization, Most Creative, and Librarian’s Choice. The Holiday Fantasy Food Drive is going on now! Help us fill the empty shopping cart located at Milford Memorial Library. We are collecting non-perishable food items for Dickinson County Upper Des Moines. Share what you can spare.
Join us on Tuesday, November 28, at 7:00 p.m., at the Arnolds Park Library, for a fun night of painting, fellowship, and snacks provided by the three local libraries. We will have a special guest teaching us how to paint with watercolors. All of the supplies will be provided by the libraries. There are only 30 spots available so pre-register at the Arnolds Park Public Library, Spirit Lake Public Library, or the Milford Memorial Library. The cost is $15 for registration. Happy Thanksgiving library friends and families! Milford Memorial Library will be closed from November 23-25, so make sure to have a pile of children’s books on hand for the kiddos. To wrap up this month, we have one last Building Bookworms (storytime) on Monday, November 27. The theme is foxes, and it starts at 10:30 a.m. Then before you know it, December is here. As always, we start the month off with Holiday Fantasy on Saturday, December 2. We have a lot going on that day, which includes a craft for make or take home.
