Join us on Wednesday, May 18, at 6:30 p.m., for a presentation on the book Breaking Free From Rigid Boxes by local author Diana Koppen. The program will include an overview of Marion Helland’s 90 years. Diana will also be bringing “artifacts” and copies of her book to sign.
MML’s book club, the Open Book Discussion Group, invites any interested individuals to come and discuss the featured book, And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie, on Tuesday, May 17, at 1:00 p.m. Copies can be found at the library. It is not necessary to attend all of the meetings, and you are welcome to come and go as you please.
MML’s Young Adult Subscription Box: Star Wars, will awaken the force inside of you. Fourth through twelfth graders will make a Strom Trooper beaded keychain and learn how to draw various Star War characters. This subscription box is free, but does require registration. Wednesday, May 18, is Open Craft Night! This Adult Craft Night will be a kit only event. Participants will be able to sign-up for available crafts including a Yarn Wall Hanging, Painted Popsicle Sign, Epoxy Wood Board, Wood Wick Flower Candle, Stamped Books, Halloween Ribbon Wreath and Clay Jewelry. Milford Memorial Library: Youth Corner
May is here, and Miss Becca at Milford Memorial Library has three interactive programs for all of the kiddos. A friendly reminder that this will be the last month of our normal programming before the 2022 Youth Summer Reading Program starts on Thursday, June 2. Building Bookworms will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 9 (Flowers-craft: noodle sunflower) and Monday, May 23 (Airplanes-craft: clothes pin airplane). Afterschool Activity will be at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 12 (Board games). Board games will be a relaxed time and guided by the kids.
