Wednesday, May 18, at 6:30 p.m., local author Diana Koppen will be at the Milford Memorial Library presenting on her book Breaking Free From Rigid Boxes. The presentation will include an overview of Marion Helland’s 90 years. Diana will also be bringing “artifacts” and copies of her book to sign.
Arnolds Park Library and Milford Memorial Library invite fourth through twelfth graders to Y.A.D.O. (Young Adults Day Off) on Thursday, May 26, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at Milford Memorial Library. We will be watching Call of the Wild, eating pizza, and painting a landscape on a wooden animal cutout. This event costs $5.00 and requires registration. The 2022 Summer Reading Program begins at 10:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 2, at the Milford Pioneer Theatre. The free movie is RV, and if you bring two nonperishable items, you get one free popcorn. MML will also have a table set up so your family can get Summer Reading Program information and Reading Activity Logs.
Join us on Tuesday, May 24, at 7:00 p.m., at the Arnolds Park Library, for a fun night of painting, fellowship, and snacks provided by the three local libraries. All of the supplies will be provided by the libraries. There are only 30 spots available so pre-register at the Arnolds Park Public Library, Spirit Lake Public Library, or the Milford Memorial Library. The cost is $15 for registration. MML’s Young Adult (fourth through twelfth graders) Subscription Box: Star Wars end on Friday, May 20. Activities included are a Strom Trooper beaded keychain and learning how to draw Darth Vader, Yoda, and BB-8. This subscription box is free, but does require registration.
