Milford Memorial Library would like to thank all the Spring Egg Hunt participants. We hope you had a fun time looking and learning about the Milford Landmarks. Pack your bags! You are going on an adventure with MML’s Young Adult Subscription Box: Adventure Awaits! Your journey will have you build mountain bookends, create a paint-wash stain, and finally you will be able to place your own mark on the mountain’s side. Along your journey make sure to enjoy the road trip inspired playlist, a quick and easy snack recipe, and indoor and outdoor leisure activities. To book your spot on this free excursion, call 712-338-4643 or email [email protected]. This trip runs form Tuesday, April 13, to Thursday, April 29. You may pick up your Adventure Awaits Subscription Box at MML’s drive-up window during normal operating hours.
Milford Memorial Library cardholders can create a to-be-read list with the Bookmark function in our online catalog. Go to www.milford.biblionix.com/catalog/ and log into your account. Locate Bookmarks, by clicking “My Account” followed by clicking the “Bookmarks” tab. A record will appear providing the title, author, call number, bookmarked date, and if the material is available. Patrons are also able to remove titles from the list, by clicking “Remove”. Add to your Bookmark list, by doing a normal search. Once you locate your title, click on the title and information will drop down. You will click the “Bookmark this item” button. To reserve from Bookmarks, click the title, information will drop down and click “Reserve this item”. A Reserve Preference box will appear and click “Place Reserve”.

April is right around the corner, and Milford Memorial Library has two youth programs. The first program is Book Bundles, and they are groups of selected fiction and non-fiction books. This month’s themes include Easy Readers, 1-2-3- Draw, Froggy, Look Once-Look Again, and Eric Carle. For more information, go to http://milfordlibrary.weebly.com/book-bundles.html. The second program is Grab and Go Bags and Books. They are bagged crafts with instructions and literacy extras on different themes. This month’s themes include Easter and Earth Day.
