
Join us and Elderbridge Agency on Aging for a free one-hour informational session led by a Dementia Friends Champion on Wednesday, March 23, at 3:00 p.m. You’ll learn some basics of dementia such as what dementia is, what it’s like to live with the disease, and some tips for communicating with people who have dementia. Join us on Tuesday, March 29, at 7:00 p.m., at the Arnolds Park Library, for a fun night of painting, fellowship, and snacks provided by the three local libraries. Any skill level is invited to recreate a painting following step-by-step instruction. All of the supplies will be provided by the libraries. There are only 30 spots available so pre-register at the Arnolds Park Public Library, Spirit Lake Public Library, or the Milford Memorial Library. The cost is $15 for registration. Monday, March 28, through Friday, April 8, MML’s Spring Egg Hunt will be taking place. Fourth graders through adults are encouraged to come look around the library and locate objects from the Spring Egg Hunt sheet. Once completed and turned in at the library’s front desk, names will be entered into a drawing.
Milford Memorial Library: Youth Corner
March is here, and Miss Becca has some new youth book displays. These include: Doreen Cronin, Dr. Seuss, solar system, crayons/colors, and language. Milford Memorial Library also has their March programs ready for the kiddos. These are: Read Across America BINGO (March 1- 31), Spring Coloring Contest (March 28-April 8), and Building Bookworms: Pete the Cat (10:30 a.m.-March 28). Miss Becca also has been hard at work getting things organized for the upcoming 2022 Summer Reading Program: Read Beyond the Beaten Path. Keep an eye out for all of the awesome programs in June and July
