Check out MML’s new drive-up window hours! Reserves may be picked-up on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. You may reserve materials by using MML’s online catalog, calling (712) 338-4643, or emailing [email protected]. Our drive-up window is on the east side (closest to Highway 71) right before our drop box.
On Wednesday, July 1, at 5:30 p.m., an open meeting of the Board of Trustees for Milford Memorial Library will take place in the Milford Community Center and via Zoom. Contact the library for the Zoom meeting information. The agenda will be posted on MML’s website and front bulletin board at least 24 hours in advance of the meetings. Everyone is welcome to attend and offer their thoughts in order to make MML a better library.
And so, another adventure begins with the next Young Adult Summer Reading Subscription Box. This themed box is called Not All Who Wander Are Lost. Your ventures will include, constructing an airplane, designing a dragon’s egg, and creating a scratch-off Itch List (a list of things you are itching to do). To enhance your experience, you will find a reading list, playlist, and a recipe. Adventure awaits! Book your Subscription Box today! When you sign-up, please tell us how you want to receive your box. Your choices are the following: picking up at the Milford Memorial Library, Arnolds Park Public Library, or having it delivered to your home. Baggage handlers will be delivering boxes starting on Tuesday, June 30th, at 10:00 a.m., and ending on Friday, July 17, at 5:00 p.m. You may also pick up your box up by appointment.
Join Milford Memorial Library’s Summer Reading Program: Quaranteened Edition. During the summer, Young Adults will need to earn 5,000 points to complete the YA Summer Reading Program. They are able to earn points by reading, finding secret codes, and completing activities. Some of the activities include doing something nice for someone, completing Subscription Box activities, doing something fun and nostalgic from their childhood, writing someone else’s life story, and more. Each time they complete a level, they will earn a badge, prizes, and a raffle ticket toward the end of Summer Reading Program prize. Young Adults (4th-12th grade) can sign up by going online to bookpoints.milfordlibrary.net, through paper logs available at the library, by calling (712) 338-4643, or emailing [email protected]. The Milford Memorial Library has an Adult Summer Reading Program again this year! All you have to do is pick up a bookmark at the library and fill it out throughout the summer or participate on bookpoints.milfordlibrary.net. You can bring the bookmark back to the library or log your reading online anytime between June 1 and Labor Day (September 7) for prizes. The Adult Summer Reading Program activities include the Adult Craft Series and Paint by Number Nights throughout June, July, and August. We encourage you to use the library in many different ways.
If you have materials to print, please email us at [email protected]. You may pick up your printing during the drive-up hours. Normal printing prices apply ($0.25 for black and white per page and $0.50 for color per page). We are currently not copying or sending faxes.
Milford Memorial Library: Youth Corner
When any youth in Milford Memorial Library’s Summer Reading Program completes all 3 Levels on their Reading-Activity Log, they can earn a really cool yard sign and prize bag. Theselevels can be completed either online through BookPoints (bookpoints.milfordlibrary.net) or through a paper form. There are plenty of activities and ways to read throughout the summer so it won’t take long to reach those goals.
