On Wednesday, June 19, at 5:30 p.m., MML’s Director, Gillian Anderson, will guide you in making a galaxy inspired bath bomb and soap. All of the supplies will be provided by the library, and participants can take everything they make home. Pre-registration is required with the cost of the activity being $5.00.
Sheltered Reality will be at MML on Thursday, June 20, at 10:00 a.m. This percussion group performs music along with some musical tricks that highlight messages of good character, education, and ideas for positive action. There is no pre-registration and to join this fun. All of the materials and services are provided at no cost to the attendees.
On Friday, June 21 at 10:00 a.m. join MML’s Youth Librarian, Miss Becca, as she shares the love of reading and imagination with youth and families of all ages. Building Bookworms features great stories, songs/rhymes, coloring sheets, activities, and a simple craft on a variety of themes. This week’s craft involves the kiddos creating planets out of Fun Dip. Families are welcome to stay and visit as long as they would like to after the program. There is no pre-registration and no cost to join this reading fun. MML invites youth and families on Monday, June 24, at 10:00 a.m., to interact, have fun, and use their imaginations with a variety of toys, building items, puppets, coloring sheets, puzzles, and more. Guardians can relax and converse with other adults, or they are welcome to join in with the youth. Houston we have pool noodle rocket lift off! Young Adults will be transforming a regular pool noodle into a rocket that will shoot across the sky (maybe just the yard or the room). Building and launch will be on Tuesday, June 25, at 1:00 p.m. at the Milford Memorial Library.
Join area libraries for a fun night of painting, fellowship, and snacks on Wednesday, June 26, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at Arnolds Park Public Library. Any skill level is invited to recreate a 16 x 20 painting following step-by-step instructions from the original artist. All of the supplies will be provided by the libraries. There are only 30 spots available so pre-register at the Arnolds Park Public Library, Spirit Lake Public Library, or the Milford Memorial Library. The cost is $10.00 for early registration and $15 for registration on the day of the event
