Registration for “A Universe of Stories” Summer Reading Programs are still open. You can pick up a registration form at the library or registration forms are available on our website.
Join Richard Renner as he takes you on a trip through the library to find some of his favorite books and the effects of reading and lifelong learning. This adventure will begin at 10:00 a.m. at MML on Thursday, June 13. There is no pre-registration and no cost to join this discovery time.
Join MML’s Youth Librarian, Miss Becca, as she welcomes a guest presenter from Yoga Okoboji on Friday, June 14, at 10:00 a.m. Families are welcome to stay and visit as long as they would like to after the program. There is no pre-registration and no cost to join this reading fun. All of the materials and services are provided by the library.
On Monday, June 17, at 10:00 a.m., MML invites youth and families to interact, have fun, and use their imaginations with a variety of toys, building items, puppets, coloring sheets, puzzles, and more. Guardians can relax and converse with other adults, or they are welcome to join in with the youth. All of the items are provided by the library. There is no pre-registration and no cost to join this discovery time.
Tuesday, June 18, at 10:00 a.m. join MML in a free showing of Space Jam. This showing is open to everyone. Free popcorn and water will be provided by the library.
Any interested individuals are welcome to join MML's Book Club on Tuesday, June 18, at 1:00 p.m. June’s featured book is Becoming Mrs. Lewis. It is not necessary to attend all of the book club meetings, and you are welcome to come and go as you please.
On Wednesday, June 19, at 5:30 p.m., MML’s Director, Gillian Anderson, will guide you in making a galaxy inspired bath bomb and soap. All of the supplies will be provided by the library, and participants can take everything they make home. Pre-registration is required with the cost of the activity being $5.00.
