
On Tuesday, June 20, at 7:00 p.m., at Milford Memorial Library join Milford Memorial Library, Arnolds Park Library, and Spirit Lake Library in welcoming Noggin and her human Karen. Noggin and Karen will inform us about the Alaskan Iditarod, the sport of dog sledding, what tools, tricks, and tips they use. Everyone is encouraged to attend this free program. Thank you to the Friends of the Milford Library, Friends of the Arnolds Park library, and Friends of the Spirit Lake Library for sponsoring this program.
Any interested parties are welcome to join MML’s Open book Discussion Group, on Tuesday, June 20, at 1:00 p.m., at MML. We will be discussing the featured book, The Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Boom. Any interested individuals may find a copy at the library. It is not necessary to attend all of the meetings, and you are welcome to come and go as you please.
Adult Craft Series on Wednesday, June 21, will be a Faux Stain Glass Votive. This craft will be kit only. The kit includes glass stain, leading, votive holder and instructions. The cost for this craft is $5.00 and registration is required. The Young Adult Summer Subscription Box 1 is available for registration until Friday, June 16. Registration can still be done by calling Milford Memorial Library at 712-338-4643, Arnolds Park Library at 712-332-2033, or Spirit Lake Library at 712-336-2667 before Friday, June 16.
Young Adult Summer Subscription Box 2 is available for registration. Summer Subscription Box 2 will run from Tuesday, June 20, through Friday, June 30. Fourth through twelfth graders will be getting materials to decorate terra cotta pots, succulents, and potting supplies. A reading list, recipe, and playlist will also be included. Registration can be done by calling Milford Memorial Library at 712-338-4643, Arnolds Park Library at 712-332-2033, or Spirit Lake Library at 712-336-2667 before Friday, June 30.
Summer Reading Logs for all ages can now be picked up at MML. Reading logs can be completed from now until Friday, August 4. The Youth program is for kids up to 4th grade, Young Adult is for 4th through 12th grades, and Adult is for everyone else.
Milford Memorial Library: Youth Corner
Miss Becca at Milford Memorial Library has two upcoming library programs. The first program is Minds in Motion at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, June 19. This is an unstructured, sensory playtime where the kids can explore and play with a variety of toys such as water beads, kinetic sand, and blocks. The second program is Building Bookworms with Miss Hannah from Dickinson County ISU 4-H & Youth at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 21. Her program will have different stations for the kids to experience animal sounds and even milk a cow.
