Introducing Milford Memorial Library’s Summer Reading: Quaranteened Edition. During the summer, Young Adults will need to earn 5,000 points to complete the YA Summer Reading program. They are able to earn points by reading, finding secret codes, and completing activities. Some of the activities include doing something nice for someone, completing Subscription Box activities, doing something fun and nostalgic from their childhood, writing someone else’s life story, and more. Each time they complete a level, they will earn a badge, prizes, and a raffle ticket toward the end of Summer Reading Program prize.
Young Adults (4th-12th grade) can sign up by going online to bookpoints.milfordlibrary.net, through paper logs available at the library, by calling (712) 338-4643, or emailing [email protected].
Get ready to have some fun with MML’s 2020 Summer Reading: Quaranteened Edition! We would like to thank the Friends of the Memorial Library for sponsoring this amazing program.
The Milford Memorial Library is partnering with the Arnolds Park Library to bring Young Adults’ Summer Reading Subscription Boxes. When in doubt, sign-up for the Dumbledore's Army Subscription Box. Here you will find supplies and instructions for three Harry Potter Crafts including a Hand-towel Hedwig, Potion Bath Salt, and a Harry Potter Planter. You will also find a Harry Potter recipe, book recommendations, and a playlist link.
Don’t miss out! When you sign-up, please tell us how you want to receive your box. Your choices are the following: picking up at the Milford Memorial Library, Arnolds Park Public Library, or have it delivered to your home. The Owl Post will be delivering boxes starting on Tuesday, June 9th, at 10:00 a.m., and ending on Friday, June 26, at 4:00 p.m. You may also pick up your box up by appointment.
The Milford Memorial Library will have an Adult Summer Reading Program again this year! All you have to do is pick up a bookmark at the library and fill it out throughout the summer or participate on bookpoints.milfordlibrary.net. You can bring the bookmark back to the library or log your reading online anytime between June 1 and Labor Day (September 7) for prizes. The Adult Summer Reading Program activities include the Adult Craft Series and Paint by Number Nights throughout June, July, and August. We encourage you to use the library in many different ways.
Bring some imagination into your home with a mini fairy garden. Join MML’s Director, Gillian Anderson, on Wednesday, June 17, at 5:30 p.m., for a Zoom Adult Craft Series. Contact the library at (712) 338-4643 to pre-register by Friday, June 12. There is a cost of $5 for the craft. Pick up your fairy garden materials at the library Monday, June 15, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 17, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., or arrange an appointment to pick them up. You can do this craft on your own or join us on Zoom on Wednesday, June 17, from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., to do the craft with others or if you have any questions.
