Milford Memorial Library News
On Tuesday, January 16, at 1:00 p.m., the Milford Memorial Library Book Club will be meeting for discussion of Homecoming by Kate Morton. Any interested individuals are welcome to attend. It is not necessary to attend all of the book meetings, and you can come and go as you please.
Young Adults, fourth through twelfth graders, are invited to register for MML’s Young Adult Snow Challenge. They will be creating their own giant paper bag snowflake and designing a wood block snowman. This activity runs from Tuesday, January 9, through Friday, January 19. Wednesday, January 17, is Open Craft Night! This Adult Craft Series will be a kit only event. Participants will be able to sign-up for available crafts including a Painted Popsicle Sign, Wood Wick Flower Candle, Stained Glass Votive, Live Evergreen Centerpiece, Clay Jewelry, Book Clock, and Foam Snowman. The cost is $5.00 per kit and registration is required. You can register by contacting the Milford Memorial Library or by going to http://milfordlibrary.weebly.com/adult-program-registration.html.
Join us on Tuesday, January 23, at 7:00 p.m., at the Arnolds Park Library, for a fun night of painting, fellowship, and snacks provided by the three local libraries. This month we will be joined by special guest Kris Walker and she will lead us though a simple landscape painting using only two colors. All of the supplies will be provided by the libraries. There are only 30 spots available so pre-register at the Arnolds Park Public Library, Spirit Lake Public Library, or the Milford Memorial Library. The cost is $15 for registration. The time for tax forms will be arriving soon. The cost to copy or print a tax form at the Milford Memorial Library is $0.10 per page for blank forms and $0.20 per page for filled-in forms.
The winter weather is starting to move in. Remember you may pick up your requested library materials at the drive-up window located on the east side (side closest to Highway 71) of the library.

Happy New Year library friends and families! The youth area at Milford Memorial Library is all set with new book displays and decorations. Plus, we have our monthly programming starting next week. We have Minds in Motion (sensory play) at 10:30 a.m. on January 8, and Afterschool Adventures (group fun) at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 11 (craft: marble maze). We hope to see you all soon, and please reach out to us if you have any questions.
