Calling all Pokémon trainers! On Wednesday, March 15, from 3:00p.m.-5:00p.m., you are invited to Pokémon Card Trading and Training. Milford Memorial Library is excited to welcome Ryan Schmidt from Okoboji Sports and Collectibles; who will be teaching how to play Pokémon, how to trade, and how to collect. Participants will receive a free pack of cards. You are welcome to bring your own cards because there will be time to trade amongst audience members. This is a free event and registration is not required.
Join MML for our Adult Craft Series as we make a Wood Block Bunnies on Wednesday, March 15, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Milford Memorial Library. This craft also comes in kit form. The kit will include a wood, fabric, paint, wire, and instructions. The cost for this craft is $5.00 and registration is required. MML’s Young Adult March Madness Challenge Box will be available Tuesday, March 14, through Friday, March 24. Fourth through twelfth graders will be growing skills and knowledge with an origami table-top basketball court, completing Basketball Bingo while watching games, and making their own basketball wall basketball hoop. Milford Memorial Library and Arnolds Park Library invite fourth through twelfth graders to Y.A.D.O., Young Adults’ Day Off, on Monday, March 13, from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. We will be having pizza, playing Minute-to-Win-It games and watching McFarland, USA. This is a free event, but does require registration. To register please call Milford Memorial Library at 712-338-4643 or Arnolds Park Library at 712-332-2033.
On Wednesday, March 1, at 5:30 p.m., an open meeting of the Board of Trustees for the Milford Memorial Library will take place in the Milford Community Center. The agenda will be posted on MML’s website and front bulletin board at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting. Everyone is welcome to attend and offer their thoughts in order to make MML a better library.
