On December 6th and 7th the community voted on The Festival of Trees and the results are in. The winner of the Best Personal/Family Tree was the Antoine Family with “Duct the Halls”. Best Organization Tree went to American Legion Auxiliary Unit #384. Little Sprouts Daycare won Most Creative. Milford Casey’s won Best Business and Librarians Choice. Each of our winners received $20 in Milford Bucks and a $20 in gift certificates to Perkins. The Best Business Tree winner got to take home the handmade traveling trophy in addition to other prizes. Thank you to all who participated in and supported Festival of Trees this year. We look forward to seeing you all again next year!
Thank you to the Friends of the Milford Memorial Library for volunteering their time to make and serve treats at the Festival of Trees and MML’s Holiday Open House. We would also like to thank to Santa and Mrs. Claus for taking time out of their busy schedules to meet and read to children and adults.
We would like to thank everyone who donated food to our food drive for Dickinson County Upper Des Moines.
Milford Memorial Library will be closing at Noon on Tuesday, December 24, for Christmas Eve. We will also be closed all day on Wednesday, December 25, for Christmas.

Come get in the festive spirit with Building Bookworms: Holiday Hangings at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, December 23, at Milford Memorial Library. Bigs and littles (a.k.a. adults and kiddos) are encouraged to wear their pajamas for a morning full of stories, songs/rhymes, and a simple craft made out of colorful paint strips.
