Need a gift for the holidays? MML's Adult Craft Series will be a kit clean out. Choose from a fabric pumpkin, clay jewelry, wood wick flower candle, popsicle painting, egg painting, or string art. The cost for each craft is $5.00 and registration is required. You can register by contacting the Milford Memorial Library.
Join the MML’s Book Club on Tuesday, December 20, at 1:00 p.m. They will be discussing The Midnight Library by Matt Haig. Copies of can be found in our library. Anyone interested is welcome to attend. It is not necessary to attend all of the meetings, and you are welcome to come and go as you please.
Young Adults, 4th-12th graders, this is your last chance to help the Holiday Shop in MML’s YA Challenge Box. You will be creating a lath star with a coffee stain, a cardboard snowflake, and a paintbrush gnome. The shop will close on Friday, December 23. Arnolds Park Library and MML invite fourth through twelfth graders for a Y.A.D.O. on Friday, December 30, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. We will be watching Uncharted, making a dry-erase calendar, playing games, and eating pizza and popcorn. This activity does cost $5.00 and registration is required. To register call Milford Memorial Library at 712-338-4643 or Arnolds Park Library at 712-332-2033.
Milford Memorial Library will be closed on Saturday, December 24, through Monday, December 26, in observance of the Christmas Holiday. We are looking forward to seeing everyone at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 27, when we reopen.

Youth Corner Miss Becca at Milford Memorial Library has a lot of programs planned for the kiddos throughout the next couple of months. In January, there will be two Building Bookworms at 10:30 a.m. at the library. The first storytime is on Monday, January 9 (theme: snow - craft: paper plate snow globe), and the second one is on Monday, January 16 (theme: pets - dog/cat headband). Afterschool Activity will be at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 12, with the craft being a stone snowman. If you would like to know more about all of MML’s programs, please call the library and ask to be placed on their newsletter list. You can also email Miss Becca at [email protected] for anything related to the youth programs.
This week’s library feature is all of the beautiful, holiday trees spread around the youth area. Plus, those trees look extra special with their lights during the darker hours. Stop by Milford Memorial Library to see the eight trees, and then pick out some holiday books to read and snuggle with your kiddos.
