Milford Memorial Library News
The last YA Summer Reading Program Subscription Box, Breathe and Believe, will be available August 11, through August 21. The activities are making a journal, tinted mason jars, and a stress ball. This box will have a playlist, book recommendations, and a recipe to inspire you. When you sign up, please tell us how you want to receive your box. Your choices are the following: pick up at Milford Memorial Library, Arnolds Park Public Library, or have it delivered to your home.
Milford Memorial Library Summer Reading Quaranteened Edition is still going! Young Adults (4th-12th Grade) can still sign-up and earn prizes. Register online at bookpoints.milfordlibrary.net or paper logs are available at the library. Thank you to the Friends of the Memorial Library for their sponsorship.
Join us for Open Craft Night August 19, from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m., on Zoom. We are cleaning out the Adult Craft Series closet and have some fun projects are available! Choose from a painted wood sign, clay pot turtle, clay pot ladybug, chalkboard painted serving tray, string art, sea glass necklace or succulent mug planter. Contact the Milford Memorial Library to register. Quantities of each craft are limited and preregistration is required. The cost for each craft is $5. Craft Series Kits will be available for pick up the week of the event.
Join the Adult Summer Reading Program! Pick up a bookmark at the library and fill it out throughout the summer or participate on bookpoints.milfordlibrary.net. Bring the bookmark back to the library or log your reading online before Labor Day (September 7) for prizes. The Adult Summer Reading Program activities include the Adult Craft Series and Paint by Number Night in August.
If you have materials to print, please email us at milfordlibrary51351@gmail.com. You may pick up your printing during the drive-up hours. Normal printing prices apply ($0.25 for black and white per page and $0.50 for color per page). We are currently not copying or sending faxes.

Reserves may be picked-up on Monday - Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. You may reserve materials by using MML’s online catalog, calling (712) 338-4643, or emailing milfordlibrary51351@gmail.com. Our drive-up window is on the east side (closest to Highway 71) right before our drop box.

Milford Memorial Library and Miss Becca still have summer reading yard signs and prizes for the kiddos. They can earn those levels through BookPoints (bookpoints.milfordlibrary.net), or guardians can bring the paper log to the Drive-Up Window or email a picture of it to Miss Becca (beccas@milford.lib.ia.us). Hang in there, and keep up the good work!
With the uncertainty of virus still present, MML and Miss Becca are trying to figure out what is best for future youth programming. Please stay tuned to our website (milford.lib.ia.us) and social media for what is to come as we look forward to continuing to connect with the youth and community.
