With activities changing over from summer and vacations to fall and school, you may not think you have time for a good book. Milford Memorial Library has portable audiobooks called Playaways. A Playaway is an all in one audiobook. Patrons can enjoy listening through headphones or by an auxiliary (AUX) cord in their vehicle. Playaways are easily be portable for exercising, doing chores, and traveling to activities. Unlike CD audiobooks, Playaways will hold your spot after being turned off. MML has Playaways available for all ages. Try one of these reading alternatives today. See available titles on MML’s online catalog by searching Playaways in the search box. A Playaway check-out period is (2 weeks) the same as printed materials.
Have activity schedules you need to keep clean MML is able to help you protect them. Lamination costs are $0.50 for a credit card size and a $1.00 for an 8.5”x11” sheet of paper.
Save time by picking up your library materials at MML’s drive-up window. Drive-up hours are every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 9:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. The location of the drive-up window is on the east side of the library, closest to Highway 71.
We offer printing and copying for black and white ink is $0.25 a side and color is $.0.50 a side. Faxing is $3.00 for the first two pages and $0.50 for every page after that. We are able to scan documents to emails and this is free of charge.
Milford Memorial Library: Youth Corner
Milford Memorial Library had the honor of being a part of the Okoboji Blue Water Festival a couple weeks ago. Miss Becca had about 20 kids and 10 adults show up to be a part of the clean water and environment storytime. We read two stories, sang a song about the lake, and made a cute paper fish windsock craft. The day was beautiful, and everyone had a good time learning about how to take care of our Earth. Thank you to all of the families who came to the storytime, as well as the Okoboji Blue Water Festival group for inviting MML.
