On Saturday, May 4, at 10:30 a.m., MML invites children and families to Playdate! Where they can interact, have fun, and use their imaginations with a variety of toys, building items, puppets, coloring sheets, puzzles, and more. Guardians can relax and converse with other adults, or they are welcome to join in with the kids. All of the items are provided by the library. There is no pre-registration and no cost to join this discovery time.
MML’s Building Bookworms (Storytime) is on Monday, May 6, at 10:30 a.m., MML’s Youth Librarian, Miss Becca, enjoys sharing the love of reading and imagination with youth and families of all ages. Building Bookworms features great stories, songs/rhymes, coloring sheets, activities, and a simple craft on a variety of themes. This week’s craft involves the kiddos creating a flower out of cupcake liners and buttons which will then be “planted” with a loving message to mom. Families are welcome to stay and visit as long as they would like to after the program. There is no pre-registration and no cost to join this reading fun. MML’s Busy Brains, 4th through 8th grades, are invited on Tuesday, May 7, at 3:30 p.m., to celebrate Be Kind to Animals Week. Participants will be making a DIY Dog Toy. Toys may be taken home or donated. There is no pre-registration or cost for this event.
