Here we go! MML’s Young Adult a Mario Challenge Box, will be available Tuesday, April 11, through Friday, April 21. The box will have supplies to create a flying Boo Ghost, a table-top game, and “It’s Me, Mario” inspired paper activities. This is a free activity, but does require registration.

Community Connections at MML will be on Thursday, April 20, at 10:30 a.m., at the library. This month’s program is called Who Gets Grandma’s Pie Plate with Dickinson County ISU Extension, and will talk about what are you going to do with your stuff. Community Connections is open to adults wanting to learn and socialize. Coffee and refreshments are provided by the Friends of the Milford Library. This program is held on the third Thursday of each month at 10:30 a.m. This is a free program and attendees are encouraged to socialize after presentations.
Any interested individuals are welcome to join MML’s Book Club on Tuesday, April 18, at 1:00 p.m. The featured book, Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery, can be found in our library. You are come to come and go as you please.
Join MML for our Adult Craft Series as we make a Mini Wood Bookshelf on Wednesday, April 19, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Milford Memorial Library. This craft also comes in kit form. The kit includes wood, glue, screws, paint and instructions. The cost for this craft is $5.00 and registration is required. You can register by contacting the Milford Memorial Library or online by going to http://milfordlibrary.weebly.com/adult-program-registration.html.
Paint Night at the Library is on Tuesday, April 25, and Wednesday, April 26, at 7:00 p.m., at the Arnolds Park Library. This month we will be painting a porch sign with a planter box at the bottom. Participants can choose either night and the get the choice of putting their house number or last name on the piece. All of the supplies will be provided by the libraries. There is a limited number of spots available for each night so pre-register at the Arnolds Park Public Library, Spirit Lake Public Library, or the Milford Memorial Library. The cost is $30 for registration. Registrants will need to pay by April 20 to secure their spot. Milford Memorial Library: Youth Corner
Take a family road trip down to Milford Memorial Library, and check out the decorated youth area. The new April book displays are Science experiments, Easter, zoo animals, Sandra Boynton, and Who? books. There are also some great at home resources such picture book scavenger hunts, simple cleaning lists, and suggestions for when reading with children.
We’ve appreciated the community support with our previous two Building Bookworms and would love for your family to attend
Afterschool Activity: Earth Day dirt cups (April 13, @ 3:30 p.m.) and
Minds in Motion (sensory playdate; April 18, @ 3:00 p.m.).
