Join us on Tuesday, January 23, at 7:00 p.m., at the Arnolds Park Library, for a fun night of painting provided by the three local libraries. This month we will be joined by special guest Kris Walker and she will lead us though a simple landscape painting using only three colors. The cost is $15 for registration. Last chance for fourth through twelfth graders, to build a wood block snowman and create a giant brown paper bag snowflake by registering for MML’s Young Adult Snow Challenge. MML’s online catalog has a variety of features to support your reading experience. After login, patrons may click “My Account”. A patron may view their past read history, manage their reserves and requests, and currently checked out materials. The bookmark tab, collects the titles a user clicks to “bookmark this item”. To leave a review, locate the title and click the title for the full information. Scroll down to “Reviews” click “Show Reviews” and click “Review this title”. Fill out the form and click “Submit (subject to approval)”. Patrons can take advantage of these resources by going to MML’s website, www.milford.lib.ia.us. Milford Memorial Library has a great selection of magazines available for check out. Patrons can try new recipes, sew a new quilt design, create a new project, or learn something new. Patrons are able to check out the most recent issues of most popular magazines like, HGTV, Reader’s Digest Large Print, Mother Earth News, Cook’s Country, and Vanity Fair to name a few. Magazines can be enjoyed for two weeks.
Mark your calendars for MML’s Blind Date with a Book. There will be no title or description on the wrapping. You will only know the book’s genre. Blind Date with a book will be held from Thursday, February 1, through Thursday, February 29.

Did you know that Miss Becca not only does public library programming, but she also partners with ISU Clover Kids, the local daycares, and school classrooms up to 2nd Grade? Each month she finds new books to read and supplies each group with supplemental activity/coloring sheets. Miss Becca is definitely busy each month, but she enjoys working with kids and spreading the joy of books and literacy.
