On Tuesday, April 21, at 1:00 p.m., the Open Book Discussion Group will talk about The Hundred-Foot Journey. This book is about the hundred-foot distance between an Indian kitchen and a French kitchen and the gulf between different cultures.
All young adults 5th through 12th grade are invited to come to the library on Wednesday, April 22, after 2:00 p.m., to participate in an upcycling paper craft. We will transform a magazine into a basket.
Wednesday, April 22, is Earth Day. “Look at any randomly selected piece of your world. Its shape, form, function, colour, smell, taste [. . .] and possibilities for the future are all absolutely unique. There is nowhere else in the observable Universe where you will see precisely that little clump of emergent, living complexity. It is wonderful.” Biran Cox, Wonders of Life.
