Milford Memorial Library and the Friends of the Milford Library Foundation would like to thank everyone who came out and supported the book sale. The money raised will be used to help with special library programming and special projects. Just a reminder, if you won an auction painting, you may pick it up and pay at the library during operating hours. Thank you again for your support.
Interested parents can set up days and times throughout August for their kiddo/s to read with Miss Becca at the library. Youth can bring in their own books, or they are can pick out some at the library. This program is running August 1, through August 18. To sign-up for a time call MML at 712-338-4643.
Join Miss Becca, on Saturday, August 12, at 10:00 a.m., for a Building Bookworms storytime at the Okoboji Blue Water Festival (youth area by Bob’s Dogs in Arnolds Park). The themed storytime will focus on the environment and clean water through a storytime and craft. All of the materials and services are provided by the library.
This is the last week to fill out and return your MML reading logs. All logs are due on Friday, August 4.
Any interested individuals are welcome to join MML’s Book Club on Tuesday, August 15, at 1:00 p.m. The featured book, The Maid by Nita Prose, can be found in our library. It is not necessary to attend all of the book meetings, and you are come to come and go as you please.
On Wednesday, August 2, at 5:30 p.m., an open meeting of the Board of Trustees for the Milford Memorial Library will take place in the Milford Community Center. The agenda will be posted on MML’s website and front bulletin board at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting. Everyone is welcome to attend and offer their thoughts in order to make MML a better library.

Happy July! Miss Becca at Milford Memorial Library has two friendly reminders for the families. First, keep in mind that all youth can still receive their large prize and a drawing entry until Friday, August 4. We have lots of fun stuff including bubbles, kinetic sand, crafts to make, books, shirts, and passes/gift certificates to various local businesses. Secondly, there is one last program for this summer, and it is called Read with Miss Becca. These are casual reading sessions, and they run anytime between 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on August 1-18.
