On Wednesday, February 1, at 5:30 p.m., an open meeting of the Board of Trustees for the Milford Memorial Library will take place in the Milford Community Center. The agenda will be posted on MML’s website and front bulletin board at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting. Everyone is welcome to attend and offer their thoughts in order to make MML a better library.
Mark your calendars for MML’s Blind Date with a Book. There will be no awkward or forced conversions and no need to call. There will be no title or description on the wrapping. You will only know the book’s genre. It could be a diamond in the rough or one you want to return right away. You won’t know until you check it out. Pick up your book date Wednesday, February 1, through Tuesday, February 28.

Milford Memorial Library has a great selection of magazines available for check out. Patrons can try new recipes, sew a new quilt design, create a new project, or learn something new. Patrons are able to check out the most recent issues of most popular magazines like, The Week, People, The Pioneer Woman, Time, and The Saturday Evening Post to name a few. Magazines can be enjoyed for two weeks.
Patrons are able to use MML’s drive-up window for reserves, printing, and copying pick up. The window is open during operating hours. Milford Memorial Library: Youth Corner
Milford Memorial Library has a great resource page for students and kids of all ages. First, go to milford.lib.ia.us, and scroll down the left-hand side until you reach ‘Use Our Library.’ Then highlight over to ‘Students,’ and click on a specific school. On the ‘Elementary School’ tab, there are numerous links to read, research, and have fun. Also, the ‘Youth’ page under ‘Use Our Library’ has many informational items for families.
Lastly, please make Milford Memorial Library a stop on your way home throughout the week. We have lots of books to check out, puzzles and toys to play with, and an inviting spot to get some one-on-one time with your kiddos. Remember, you can use your library card from any of the local libraries here at MML.
