MML’s Adult Craft series will be creating Halloween Ribbon Wreaths on Wednesday, October 13th, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Milford Memorial Library. This craft also comes in kit form. The kit will include: ribbon, pipe cleaner, metal hoop, and instructions. The cost for this craft is $5.00 and registration is required. Join us on Wednesday, October 13th, at 6:00 p.m., for Mysterious Creatures of the Midwest presented by Chad Lewis. In this presentation, researcher Chad Lewis will showcase his on-site investigations ranging from the Bigfoot of the North Woods and the Lake Monster of Lake Pepin to Phantom Chickens and Hellhounds roaming rural Iowa. Filled with witness drawings, eye-witness testimony, weird photos, and bizarre sound clips. This presentation brings the investigation right to you! This program is available via Zoom from anywhere you wish, or watch Chad's presentation on the big screen at the Milford Community Center. This program is brought to you by the Friends of the Estherville Public Library and the Friends of Milford Memorial Library.
October is a time filled with tricks and treats. Fourth through twelfth graders will have people guessing what is safe to eat with D.I.Y faux cupcakes and Kitty Litter Cake recipe. They might trick a Halloween monster with D.I.Y fake giant popcorn. These spooky sweet tricksters may enjoy the included and carefully crafted playlist, reading list, and watch list. MML’s Young Adult (4th-12th grades) Subscription Box: Trick-or-Treat? is available Tuesday, October 12, through Friday, October 22. This activity is free, but registration is required. Milford Memorial Library: Youth Corner
Milford Memorial Library has two programs that are perfect for your family. The first one is Afterschool Activity: Halloween BINGO. This will take place at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 14, at the library. Kids will be able to win some simple prizes by playing the game. The second program is Building Bookworms (storytime): Halloween. This will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 18, at MML. Kids will be a part of the storytime, and then make a handprint ghost for the craft. Both of these programs are free and require no registration.
