LIBRARY AS A MEETING SPACE POLICY
REVISED 06/11/12, 8/2/2017
The Milford Memorial Library has a small meeting space/employee break room. Public use of the room must be scheduled and may not interfere with employee use. The room is limited to 6 people due to the size of the room. Use of the room must also comply with the same guidelines as the main library space which are as follows:
· No individual or group of individuals may infringe on other library users’ rights to utilize the space peacefully and without being subject to solicitation of any kind.
· The Library Board expressly prohibits the advertisement of events taking place at the library that are not put on by the library. Such advertisement could be viewed as an endorsement of a group or activity that was not approved by the Library Board.
Those wishing to organize meetings that would involve solicitation or that are likely to create a volume level (or other disturbance) that would interfere with others’ use of the space in the library will be referred to the City of Milford where they may choose to reserve the Community Center space.
· Groups must leave the space in the same condition as they found it.
