Calling all gamers in 5th– 8th grades! Video Games Day is happening on Friday, September 11, starting at 3:30 p.m. and ending at 5:30 p.m. in the Milford Memorial Library. Come play Wii and Xbox games provided by Exile Gaming in Milford. Watch a DVD while you wait for other gamers. Stop by the library September 8-10 to vote on the DVD you want to watch.
The Milford Memorial Library will have four discs and a bag for people to check out to play disc golf. Milford just put in a new nine hole disc golf course located in Calkins Park behind Dynos. A special thank you to the Milford Parks and Recreation Department for purchasing the discs. Join us on Friday, September 18, at 4:00 p.m., to learn how to Disc Golf. The owner of Ascension Disc Golf, Tanner Lyons, will be teaching how to disc golf. Meet at the Milford Memorial Library and we will head over to Calkins Park and the new Milford Disc Golf Course.
One’s Company, with actress Pippa White, will be performing “The Story of the Orphan Train” at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, September 25, at the Milford Memorial Library. The show is sponsored by the Friends of the Milford Memorial Library and the Friends of the Spirit Lake Public Library.
Thursday, August 10, at 10 a.m., we will be looking for our Shelf Elves. Volunteers take on the task of organizing and cleaning a section of shelves. This helps our librarians and it will make sure you can find the book you are looking for that might have otherwise been misplaced.
