Week one of the Milford Memorial Library Duck Hunt is done. MML staff will be hiding ducks until Friday, October 24. But you can return or adopt a duck until Monday, October 27! On Tuesday, October 28, at 1:00 p.m., join the Milford Memorial Library Book Club as they discuss Stephen King’s horror novel Pet Sematary. Copies are available at Milford Memorial Library. It is not necessary to attend all of the book meetings, and you are welcome to come and go as you please.
Iowa storyteller Darrin Crow will bring Gothic horror master Edgar Allan Poe to life in "Morbid Curiosities– An Evening with Edgar Allan Poe" at Milford Memorial Library on Wednesday, October 29, at 6:30 p.m.
The master of Gothic horror comes from beyond the veil to talk with audiences about his life and share his best stories and poetry including “The Masque of the Red Death”, “The Raven” and “The Tell Tale Heart.” The performance also features one of Poe's comedies, "The Angel of the Odd," a cautionary tall tale about the dangers of too much drinking. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Milford Memorial Library, Friends of the Arnolds Park Library, and Friends of the Spirit Lake Public Library.
Beep, Beep, Beep, stop by MML and see the Jeeps! Susan Gray’s Jeep collectibles and memorabilia will be on exhibit during October and November.
