MML’s Young Adult (4th-12th grades) Subscription Box: Trick-or-Treat? is available Tuesday, October 12, through Friday, October 22. Supplies to make faux cupcakes and fake Giant Popcorn will be provided. Also included is a recipe for kitty litter cake, reading list, playlist, and watchlist. This Young Adult Subscription Box is free, but registration is required. Young Adults may register by calling (712) 338-4643 or by emailing [email protected]. Subscription Boxes can be picked up at the library.
Any interested individuals are welcome to join MML's Book Club on Tuesday, October 26, at 1:00 p.m. The featured book, To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee, can be found in our library. It is not necessary to attend all of the book meetings, and you are welcome to come and go as you please.
Join us on Tuesday, October 26, at 7:00 p.m., at the Arnolds Park Library, for a fun night of painting, fellowship, and snacks provided by the three local libraries. Any skill level is invited to recreate a painting following step-by-step instruction. All of the supplies will be provided by the libraries. There are only 30 spots available so pre-register at the Arnolds Park Public Library, Spirit Lake Public Library, or the Milford Memorial Library. The cost is $10.00 for early registration and $15 for registration on the day of the event. Registrants will need to pay prior to the event to secure their spot. Come join a fun game of Halloween BINGO at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 14, at Milford Memorial Library. Every kiddo will get to leave with a simple prize. Then at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 18, Miss Becca will have another Building Bookworms (storytime). The theme will be Halloween, and the craft will be a paper handprint ghost. Lastly, get those Halloween costumes ready for trick or treat with Milford businesses from 2:30-5:30 p.m. on Friday, October 29.
