MML’s Building Bookworms Storytime happens on Mondays at 10:30 a.m. Take a look below for our themes. All materials and services are provided by the library free to participants. All kids and their adults are welcome to stay after storytime and mingle. For more information contact the library or check out our Facebook page.

- June 1 – Dinosaurs on the Loose Storytime at Central Park in Arnolds Park.
- June 8 – Who Laid the Egg? With special guest Hannah from Dickinson County Farm Bureau.
- June 15 – Storytime with special guests from Dickinson County Iowa State Extension.
- June 22 – No Building Bookworms Storytime. Join us for Paint in the Park at Central Park.
- June 29 – Storytime with special guests from Kindermusik at the Lakes
Come and enjoy the music and story of Peter and the Wolf with Wild Prairie Winds and Kindermusik at the Lakes on Friday, May 29! The free performances will be at 10:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. at Milford Memorial Library.
You’re invited to the 2026 Summer Reading Kick Off Party on Thursday, May 28, at Pioneer Theatre. Join Milford Memorial Library, Arnolds Park Public Library, and Spirit Lake Public Library for two showings of The Land Before Time, at 10:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Bring two non-perishable food items and receive one free popcorn. Other concessions will be available, but at your cost. This event is sponsored by the Milford Memorial Library, Arnolds Park Library, and Spirit Lake Public Library.
On Saturday, May 30, MML will be hosting Weekend Creators from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. During this free come-and-go craft event, materials for a variety of crafts will be out for Young Adults and Kids to complete.
Milford Library is collecting books for the Friends of the Milford Library Book Sale in July. Bring your like-new books to the Milford Memorial Library during open hours. We do not accept textbooks, Reader’s Digest Condensed, magazines, or encyclopedias. Materials with mold, mildew, or pages and spines falling apart or missing will not be taken.
