Join Miss Becca, on Saturday, August 10, at 10:00 a.m., for an Okoboji Blue Water Festival storytime and craft. Location of the youth area will be by Bob’s Dogs in Arnolds Park. This special storytime will focus on the environment and clean water. All of the materials and services are provided by the Milford Library.
Interested parents can set up days and times throughout August for their kiddo/s to read with Miss Becca at the library. Youth can bring in their own books, or they are can pick out some at the library. This program is running through Friday, August 23. To sign-up for a time call MML at 712-338-4643.
The Milford Library Book Club will discuss the classic Animal Farm by George Orwell Tuesday, August 20, at 1:00 p.m. All are welcome to this public book club and it is not necessary to attend all of the book meetings.
Join MML for CrAFTER Hours as we make Felted Wool Dryer Balls on Wednesday, August 21, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The cost for this craft is $5.00 and registration is required. Did you know there are various ways to leave a material review at Milford Memorial Library? First a patron may write down their review and drop it off at MML. Secondly, patrons may go to MML’s website, www.milford.lib.ia.us., and click “Search Our Catalog” and login in with their information. After logging in, search the title and click on it. As a result, more information will appear. The patron will click on the grey button stating “Review this title”. After clicking, the patron will simply fill out the form and click” submit for approval. If approved, the review will appear in the online catalog. Patrons may use this process to review Bridges materials also. Lastly, is by sharing on social media. Patrons may create their own social media post of Milford Memorial Library material and tag MML in their post. For Bridges users, an upload to social media button can be found near the material’s cover when in the electronic library. Click on the symbol and then following the directions to share with social media and tag MML.
