On Wednesday, August 21, at 5:30 p.m., harness power from the sun to illuminate your favorite outdoor area. Director, Gillian Anderson, will guide you in building a solar powered light for your yard. All of the supplies will be provided by the library, and participants can take everything they make home. Pre-registration is required with the cost of the activity being $5.00.
Kevin Wood will bring Abraham Lincoln to life at the Milford Memorial Library on Tuesday, August 27, at 2:00 p.m. with his program titled “A New Birth of Freedom.” This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Milford Memorial Library, Friends of the Spirit Lake Public Library, and the Friends of the Arnolds Park Public Library.

Thank you to all of the youth, families, daycares, and supporters (businesses and grants) of Milford Memorial Library’s 2019 Youth Summer Reading Program! We had a jam packed summer full of celebrations, programs, local presenters, playdates, storytimes, and partner reading. Of course, there were plenty of incentives to go around for those kiddos who put the time and effort in on their Reading Logs. MANY, MANY THANKS TO YOU ALL!
Miss Becca will be back to regular youth programming of Public Playdates, Afterschool Activity, 4-H Clover Kids, and Building Bookworms starting in September. Stay tuned!
