MML’s book club, the Open Book Discussion Group, invites any interested individuals to come and discuss the featured book, The One Hundred Years of Lenni and Margot by Marianne Cronin, on Tuesday, April 19, at 1:00 p.m. Copies can be found at the library. It is not necessary to attend all of the meetings, and you are welcome to come and go as you please.
Join MML for our Adult Craft Series as we make Stamped Books on Wednesday, April 20, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Milford Memorial Library. This craft also comes in kit form. The kit will include old books, stamps, paint, embellishments and instructions. The cost for this craft is $5.00 and registration is required. On Monday, April 18, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at Milford Memorial library, fourth through twelfth graders are invited to join MML and Arnolds Park Library for Y.A.D.O (Young Adults Day Off). Activities include watching Disney’s Cruella, making a Maleficent staff pen, and eating pizza. The cost is $5.00 and registration is required. Young Adults, fourth through twelfth grade, can register for MML’s Young Adult Subscription Box: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. This free activity box is available until Friday, April 22, but does require registration. On Wednesday, April 27, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Milford Memorial Library will be hosting a Hot Air Balloon Presentation featuring private Hot Air Balloon Pilots Anne Susko and Eric Scheve. They will explain what drew them to hot air ballooning, information about ballooning equipment, and how it works. Attendees may also get a chance to look at their equipment. Milford Memorial Library: Youth Corner
Milford Memorial Library is all set for April. We have decorations in various places, and Miss Becca has new youth book displays with plenty of books ready to be checked out. They include: ducks, superheroes, things in the sky, poetry, and love of the library books. There are also two great programs left for the kiddos. Building Bookworms will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 25 (caterpillars) and Afterschool Activity (bead art) will be at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 14.
