From now until Friday, December 6, is the time to bring your tree into Milford Memorial Library for the Festival of Trees! Judging will be on Saturday, December 7, during Holiday Fantasy.  Categories are the following: Best Business, Best Personal/Family, Best Organization, Most Creative, and Librarian’s Choice. One can. Two can. Who can? You Can! Help fill the food donation cart for Dickinson County Upper Des Moines from Friday, November 22, through Saturday, December 14. Donations of non-perishable food items may be placed into the cart at Milford Memorial Library. Please share what you can spare.

Any interested individuals are welcome to join MML's Book Club on Tuesday, November 19, at 1:00 p.m. The featured book, Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, can be found in our library. It is not necessary to attend all of the meetings, and you are welcome to come and go as you please.

Still trying to plan your holiday menu? Milford Memorial Library has a variety of cookbooks and cooking magazines to help guide you. With titles of Cook’s Country, Food Network, Bon Appetit, Amish Friends Gathering and Everyday Bread; we know you will find a recipe or two for you holiday meal. You may place titles on reserve by going to MML’s online catalog or calling 712-338-4643.

On Monday, November 11, from 11:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., join MML for All-Day Play. Discover new and exciting toys while having fun with friends. This is a come-and-go playtime. Young Adults come hang out at MML on Monday, November 11, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and create a decision dice. Supplies will be provided, but will be limited. Join MML’s After-School Adventures on Thursday, November 14, at 3:30 p.m., for a showing of Kung Fu Panda 4. This is a free program and a small snack will be provided. For any questions, contact us by calling 712-338-4643 or by emailing [email protected].
 
On Tuesday, November 12, at 5:30 p.m., an open meeting of the Board of Trustees for the Milford Memorial Library will take place in the Milford Community Center. The agenda will be posted on MML’s website and front bulletin board at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting. Everyone is welcome to attend and offer their thoughts in order to make MML a better library.
 
MML will be hosting a Book Swap on Saturday, November 16, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Please only bring in books that are in good condition, that you would recommend to someone, or give to a friend. There is no cost to this event, just books that you would like to swap.
