On Thursday, November 7, at 6:30 p.m., in the Milford Community Center, join Lakes Area Libraries for Travel with Sara. At an early age, presenter and author Sara Broers was bitten by the travel bug. Throughout her lifetime, she developed a deeper love for sharing travel experiences with others. In 2019, she was honored to receive the 2019 Outstanding Iowa Leadership Award through Travel Iowa and the Economic Development Authority. In 2022, she wrote the book, 100 Things To Do In Iowa Before You Die and Perfect Day Iowa. She co-authored the book, Midwest Road Trip Adventures in 2022, as well. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Milford Memorial Library, Arnolds Park Library, and Spirit Lake Public Library.
 
On Monday, November 11, from 11:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., join MML for All-Day Play. Discover new and exciting toys while having fun with friends. This is a come-and-go playtime. Young Adults come hang out at MML on Monday, November 11, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and create a decision dice. Supplies will be provided, but will be limited. Join MML’s After-School Adventures on Thursday, November 14, at 3:30 p.m., for a showing of Kung Fu Panda 4. This is a free program and a small snack will be provided. For any questions, contact us by calling 712-338-4643 or by emailing [email protected].
 
The Milford Memorial Library Book Club will be discussing Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, on Tuesday, November 19, at 1:00 p.m. Interested individuals may find a copy at MML. If you have any question, please contact the library by calling 712-338-4643 or emailing [email protected].

Join us in welcoming author, Allen Eskens, on Saturday, October 19, at 2:00 p.m., in the Milford Community Center. Allen Eskens is a retired Minnesota defense attorney turned author. His writings of mystery, thriller, and suspense has earned him multiple awards.  During his visit, the audience will experience a presentation and book signing. This  free event sponsored by the Friends of the Milford Library, Arnolds Park Library, and the Spirit Lake Public Library.

Milford Memorial Library will be opening at 1:00 p.m., on Wednesday, October 30, due to Dickinson County Library Staff Development.
 
Inviting all ghosts, ghouls, goblins, superheroes, and creatures alike! Stop by the Milford Memorial Library on Thursday, October 31, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., to pick up some treats and show off your awesome costume as part of Trick-or-Treat with Milford Businesses.

Any interested individuals are welcome to join MML's Book Club on Tuesday, October 15, at 1:00 p.m. The featured book, The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson, can be found in our library. It is not necessary to attend all of the meetings, and you are welcome to come and go as you please.
 
 Join us on Tuesday, October 22, at 7:00 p.m., at the Arnolds Park Library, for a fun night of painting. Any skill level is invited to recreate a painting following step-by-step instructions from the original artist. All of the supplies will be provided by the libraries. There are only 25 spots available so pre-register at the Arnolds Park Public Library, Spirit Lake Public Library, or the Milford Memorial Library. The cost is $15.00.
