Milford Memorial Library and the Friends of the Milford Library Foundation would like to thank everyone who came out and supported the book sale. The money raised will be used to help with special library programming and projects. Thank you again for your support!
 
Milford Memorial Library’s 2025 Summer Reading Program is almost over! All Reading Logs are due on Friday, August 1. Winners of prize drawings will be notified the following week.

On Wednesday, August 6, at 5:30 p.m., an open meeting of the Board of Trustees for the Milford Memorial Library will take place in the Milford Community Center. The agenda will be posted on MML’s website and front bulletin board at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting. Everyone is welcome to attend and offer their thoughts in order to make MML a better library.

The Friends of the Milford Library will be hosting their annual book sale on
Thursday, July 24, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Friday, July 25, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Saturday, July 26, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
 
The book sale offers a large variety of interests for all individuals.
Hardcover books are $1.00 and paperbacks are $0.50, unless otherwise stated.
All proceeds go to the Friends of the Milford Library Foundation. The Friends of the Milford Library Foundation provides: services, programming, and help serve area residents.
 
Everyone is invited to join MML at Florence Park on Friday, July 25, at 8:30 p.m. for a free showing of The Minecraft Movie. Thank you to the Friends of the Milford Library for sponsoring Movie Night in the Park during Pioneer Days.

On Thursday, July 24, join volunteers and staff, as we set-up for the Friends of the Milford Library Book Sale. Set up will begin at 11:00 a.m., with pizza and pot luck to follow. Bring a side dish for the pot luck. Once everything is in place volunteers are able to shop early. Please let the library know if you plan to volunteer by calling 712-338-4643 or email [email protected].
 
Volunteers are still needed to help during the Friends of the Milford Library Book Sale. You may sign up by calling the library at 712-338-464, emailing [email protected], or scanning the QR code on the poster.

MML’s Building Bookworms Storytime is taking a short break, but will be back with more stories and fun in September. Be on the look out in late August for September’s Building Bookworms Storytime schedule.

Join MML for our weekly Building Bookworms Storytime on Mondays at 10:30 a.m. Take a look below for our themes. Materials and services are provided by the library free to participants. All kids and their adults are welcome to stay after storytime and mingle. For more information contact the library or check out our Facebook page.

• July 14 – Let’s Ride a Bike with the Okoboji Cyclist

This will be the last Building Bookworms for the summer. We will be taking a short break, but will be back with more fun and stories in September. So be on the look out in late August.
Join the Milford Memorial Library Book Club on Tuesday, July 15, at 1:00 p.m. This month we will be discussing Cook Books. We invite you to bring a cook book of your choice to discuss. It is not necessary to attend all of the meetings, and you are welcome to come and go as you please.
Join other volunteers and the library staff for book sale set-up beginning at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, July 24, with pizza and a potluck to follow. Once everything is in place, let the shopping begin. Volunteers will get to shop early. Please let the library know if you plan to volunteer.
